Contract deviations
The wire shapes in the published schema are unchanged from the packet. Five behaviors differ, and two error responses were added to three operations. Each is stated here so you can plan for it.
- Version history covers versions VelociFile has served or observed, not the filing’s full past.
- Manifests and PDFs are available for the current version only (
410 VERSION_SUPERSEDED). - Search is a live view: a filing that changes while you page can move between pages; watchers report those changes.
- Completeness is judged against the filing’s own SERFF attachment list (section 6.4).
- Query watchers over very broad scopes are capped (section 6.5).
In items 4 and 5, “section 6.4” refers to the Manifests and integrity page and “section 6.5” refers to the Watchers page.
